Two-Needles Felted Mittens

A knitting pattern of a mitten, in three adult sizes. The mitten has a turned-back cuff with a comfortable offset thumb. The fabric becomes softly felted and dense but not stiff or bulky. Stripes or a color pattern can be added (can be adapted to 4-needle construction).

Suggested Yarns: worsted weight yarns such as Galway, Cascade 220, Classic Alpaca, Koigu Kersti, Malabrigo, Karaoke, Skye Tweed, Nature Spun, Lamb’s Pride, Encore

Finished Size: SM(MED, LG), to fit hands measuring 6-7”(7-8”, 8-9”) around palm

Yarn Requirements: 250(300, 350) yards of worsted weight yarn

Gauge: 15 stitches and 20 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch BEFORE felting

Needles: size 9US (5.5mm) or size to achieve gauge
