Shifty

A top-down sock in six sizes with a shifting rib pattern that extends down the leg and over the top of the foot, and is especially friendly with self-striping yarns.
Easily converted to toe-up construction, as the pattern is vertically reversible.
May be knit with a variety of yarn weights and needles sizes.

Suggested Yarns: Twisted Fiber Arts Sock, Noro Kureyon Sock, Briar Rose Grandma’s Blessing, Socks that Rock, Woolen Rabbit Sock, Knitting Notions Superwash Sock, Fearless Fibers Classic Merino Sock, or soft, springy sock yarn.

XXS(XS, S, M, L, XL), to fit feet measuring up to 4(5.5, 7, 8.5, 10, 11.5)”

Yarn requirements: 200(250, 300, 350, 400, 450) yards

Gauge: 32 sts and 48 rows = 4” in stockinette

Needles: DPNs size US1 (2.25mm), or size to obtain correct gauge.
