Pavé Sock

A top-down sock in four sizes featuring a wavy allover texture which extends down the leg and over the foot. A simple arrangement of knits and purls yields a deep, cushy texture reminiscent of the famous cobblestone streets of Europe.
Sock is easily converted to toe-up construction, as the pattern is vertically reversible.

Suggested Yarns: Briar Rose Grandma’s Blessing or Grace, Fearless Fibers Classic Merino Sock, Wooly Wonka Merino or BFL Sock, Fleece Artist Merino Sock, Socks that Rock light, Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock, Woolen Rabbit Lambswool or Merino Sock, Dream in Color Smooshy or any sock yarn which has 425 yards to 4 ounces.

Finished Size:
finished sock circumference = 6.25(7.5, 8.75, 10) inches
S(M, L, XL), to fit feet measuring up to 7.5(8.5, 10, 11) inches around

Yarn requirements: 300(350, 400, 450) yds

Gauge: 32 sts and 48 rows = 4” in stockinette

Needles: DPNs sizes US1 (2.25mm), or size to obtain gauge on smaller needles.
