Dovecote Shawl

A cozy triangle shawl in two sizes (petite/tall) that features a composition of multi-directional diamond patterns. Shawl is knit top-down with a knit-on edging at the hem.
Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size. 
 
Suggested Yarns: The Fibre Company Canopy, Fibre Isle Pearl Bison or Bamboo Bison, Fearless Fibers Cashmere Sport, A Verb for Keeping Warm Alpaca Silk, Woolen Rabbit Opulence, Alpaca with a Twist Socrates, Blue Moon Fiber Arts Geisha, Wollery Peruseda3, Handmaiden Swiss Silk and Cashmere, or any fingering yearn with approximately 200 yards per 50 grams

Finished Size:
72(84) inches across top edge and 30(36) inches long at center back (blocked)

Yarn Requirements: 600(1000) yards

Gauge: 22 sts and 32 rows = 4 inches in stockinette on larger needle (unstretched, unblocked)

Needles:
size 5 US (3.75 mm) circular needle for body (or size to obtain correct gauge)
size 4 US (3.5 mm) circular needle for edging; DPN in same size (optional)
