David Sock

Here’s a top-down unisex sock in four sizes S(M, L, XL) that knits up quickly and puts a busy colorway to good use. The deep Garter Rib cuff and matching heel provide textural contrast for an allover openwork pattern of tilting checks extending down the leg and over the top of the foot.
Substituting needles and/or yarn may result in an overall variation in size.

Suggested Yarns: Briar Rose Grandma’s Blessing, Zen Yarn Garden Squooshy, Socks That Rock® mediumweight, Fearless Fibers Superwash Merino Sport, Pigeonroof Studios Superwash Merino Sport, Wooly Wonka Simply Superwash 3-ply, Dream in Color Smooshy, or any springy, high-twist sock yarn with approximately 300 yards per 4 ounces.

Finished Size:
7.25(8.5, 9.25, 10.5) inches in circumference, to fit feet measuring up to 8.5(9.5, 10.5, 11.5) inches around.

Yarn Requirements: 350(400, 450, 500) yds

Gauge: 28 sts and 40 rows = 4” in stockinette

Needles: DPNs size US1.5 (2.50mm), or size to obtain correct gauge.
