Cable and Rib Scarf

A ribbed cable stitch makes this a scarf that knits quickly, in a lighter fabric that remains warm. A quick pleasurable knitting project.

Suggested Yarns: Fearless Fibers DK cashmere or sport weight merino, Rowan Felted Tweed, Plymouth Baby Alpaca DK, Pashmina Cashmere, Rowan Wool Cotton. Note: choose any yarn for which the label states 4.5 to 6 sts or more per inch

Finished Size: 6” x 52” (unblocked); 7" x 54" (blocked)

Yarn Requirements: 375 yards (2 balls Felted Tweed); choice of yarn and finished length will affect yardage required.

Gauge: 20 sts = 4” over garter stitch (knit every row), gauge is not crucial and can vary by 0.5 stitch/inch either way

Needles: size US7 (4.5mm) straight or circular, or size that gives 20 to 24 sts per inch
